Kristi's Off to TAIWAN!

On Saturday, June 26th we sent Kristi on her way. I have never seen her so excited to go on an adventure. She was all smiles. And thank heavens for SKYPE we hav been able to talk with her twice this week. She is having a great experience and despite the fact that I miss her terribly, I am glad she is having so much fun. School starts on Monday, July 5th for her. I am anxious to see how that goes!

A 2nd Day at the Lake this Summer

On Monday, June 28th we made it to the lake for another day of fun. Daniel, Samuel and Sam's friend Erik went with us. This time we went to the pool and had a great time. Afterwards we made some lunch and while I had a much needed nap and read (Fablehaven #5) the boys played Monopoly. Then they got out the trikes and toys from the garage and had even more fun. What a great day!

A Day at the Lake

On the 21st we were able to go the lake for a day. It was a little cool in the morning (only 59 degrees) but warmed up after a coupld of hours. The kids played in the sand and the water and had a great time. I read the rest of my book (Fablehaven #4), well, all but the last chapter, that had to wait until we got home. It was a wonderful day topped off with raspberry marshmellow shakes and frensh fries.

Summer Flowers

Here are some pictures of our summer flowers. They have been beautiful for about three weeks. I love going out in my garden each morning to see what is new in bloom. The colors are beautiful. Isn't life grand!

Stephenson Cabin over Memorial Weekend

The family had a great time at the cabin over Memorial Weekend. At one point there were 35 people there. Family, friends, food-what more can we ask for. It was a beautiful weekend and I spent about 8 hours outside sitting in a chair soaking up the sun reading "Fablehaven". I am definately a fan and have read 1-3 and hope to have 4-5 done by the end of the month.

All the kids had a great time playing games, visiting, and going on 4-wheeler outings. They went on one ride that lasted about 2 1/2 hours and when they got back they were all covered with dust and mud and big SMILES. Dust from the roads and muds from the puddles!

Kristi especially had fun with Katie and Ashley. They haven't been together for a couple of years.

Family is great! Thanks everyone for a good weekend. We missed those of you who couldn't make it!

OREGON EUGENE MISSION here comes TAYLOR!

On Wednesday, May 26th Taylor received his mission call to the Oregon Eugene Mission and will be entering the MTC on September 15th. He is so excited and we are excited for him. What a beautiful place to serve our Heavenly Father and to teach the gospel. We will miss him but we know that is where he is suppose to be. He actually enters the MTC on the same day as his cousin Chad Larson from Cedar City who will be going to Columbia. He actually opened up his call when some of his friends were still here after graduation breakfast. Way to go Taylor!

Graduation Day for Taylor

May 25, 2010 was Taylor's big day of graduation. It was great! He was so ready and looked so good. The graduation program was actually a lot of fun and we all had a good time. Afterwards we went to Chili's and had dinner. Grandma Ivie came with us and we all enjoyed the visit. After graduation Taylor and friends went to an all night party at the Sports Academy and then on Wednesday morning at 11:00 they came to our house and we fed them breakfast, about 25 of them. It was so much fun. We had waffles, muffins, bacon, fruit and juice. Way to go Taylor, we are so proud of him!
