Labor Day at the Lake

We had a great Labor Day weekend at the lake. Jim and I and the four boys went Sunday evening and all day Monday. We played two games of Monopoly (Sam won the first game and Taylor the second), two games of Zilch, 2 hours swimming in the pool and hot tub, one movie, a wonder Sunday dinner, and Monday morning breakfast, and four snakes later! It was great. I much needed day of relaxation.

Mr. Sky View

Taylor decided last week to try out for Mr. Sky View during homecoming week. He spent hours and hours working on his talent. Kristi, the best sister ever, accompanied him as he played the school song on chimes. He did a mighty fine job. Our cute little Talor took second place!! We are all very proud of him for even trying. Way to go Taylor!

Taylor is 18!!!

Can you believe it! Taylor turned 18 this week. We had a crazy week but on Friday we took up 10 friends to the townhouse and I cooked dinner for them, hot dogs and hamburgers. The kids played in the pool and hot tub and at the beach. They had a great afternoon and evening. What a way to celebrate 18!!

Elder Stephenson

Here are a few pictures that Jacob sent LaDawn. I am sure glad that she shared them with us. The one with the frog in the pocket made us laugh! The other is last weeks baptism of the two sisters.

Soccer has STARTED!

We went to our first fall soccer game on Saturday. Samuel's team
dominated the other team. Samuel scored twice and stopped the other teams only shot for a goal. Only 12 more games to go! Sam almost got a header! (The whole team gets ice cream if a player on the team gets a header!)

Puddle Jumping

Daniel and Samuel don't often pass up a chance to puddle jump! It was a great summer storm and a lot of fun to get wet!

We were "Barrack"ed

At 11:00 the other night the doorbell rang. I hustled around trying to find a bathrobe because we were all in our pajamas or else getting there. I got to the door and this is what I found. I laughed out loud! It was so funny to open the door to B. Obama! Anyway, I found out later that Taylor and friends like to go "Barracking" at times and so I felt privileged to be "Barrack"ed!!
