The Scarlet Pimpernel

On Friday night, September 29th, Jim and I cancelled everything and went on a date. I had to find someone to take Sam to his game and Jim had to get someone to fill in for him taking tickets at the Sky View Football Game. We did it! Something that doesn't happen to often in the fall. Anyway, we drove downtown to go to the musical at Ellen Eccles Theatre. When we got there we found out that the production was sold out for Friday evening! We kind of hung around waiting to see if anyone turned in some tickets. Lucky us--a man came along and needed to sell his front row tickets! The production was wonderful and Jim and I had a great evening together!

THE MTC EXPERIENCE :(

The family drove down to Provo on Wednesday morning, stopping at KFC for lunch. Then came the "stop, drop, and roll" as my friend calls it. We first went to the park above the MTC for hugs and pictures. Bad luck, my camera wasn't focusing correctly so the pics didn't turn out very good. But I did get one good picture of my missionary right before he took off! WE LOVE YOU TAYLOR!

TAYLOR GET'S SET APART AS A MISSIONARY

On Tuesday night, September 14, 2010, Taylor was set apart as Elder Taylor Ray Stephenson. He is now officially a missionary and will be serving in the Oregon Eugene Mission.

FAREWELL FRIENDS

Sunday evening after all the family left, Taylor's friends came over for one last goodbye! They were in and out all night but I think we had close to 40 show up. I forgot to get out my camera until the very end. Taylor has been blessed to have GREAT friends! Thank you friends!!

MISSION FAREWELLS + BABY BLESSINGS = lots of family and friends!

On Sunday, September 12, 2010, Taylor had his missionary farewell and Russ and Lezlie-Anne had James Russell blessed. First the family went to our ward and then an hour later we went to Russ and Lezlie-Anne's ward. It was a wonderful day. The weather was perfect for an outside gathering. We had lots of family and friends over. Thanks to everyone it was a huge success and a lot of fun!

LET IT BEGIN- STRIKERS SOCCER SEASON!

Fall soccer started in August with practices and games. Samuel's team, the STRIKERS, went state this year and so we have the opportunity of driving a little bit more. The games have been great and Samuel is doing awesome. Here are a few of his highlights!

Tanner's Art

My Tanner has a unique talent of seeing things differently than other people do. He and I were driving home one day when he saw all these flags out on the road. After we got home he grabbed the camera and said, "I'll be back!" When he got home, he downloaded these pictures and then tweeked them a little. This is the result! Pretty Cool!!
